Where it started
Treat skincare as nutrition.
For nearly thirty years, Andrew Tyrrell has worked as a personal trainer in South Wales. In that time he has asked his clients every question about what they put into their bodies, because he has seen how much it shapes the way people feel, recover and live.
For twelve of those years, his focus was much closer to home. Andrew’s wife, Phyllis, faced a long and courageous battle with multiple cancers, and Andrew was by her side throughout. As he looked for ways to support her wellbeing in every part of daily life, he began to apply the same scrutiny to her skincare that he had always applied to nutrition.
What he found stayed with him. Products marketed as ‘natural’ relied on synthetic preservatives. Labels were full of vague claims. Full formulations were difficult, and sometimes impossible, to find.
Phyllis sadly passed away in 2025. PROOF was shaped by that lived experience, and by a belief that everyone deserves to know exactly what they are putting on their skin.
Outer nutrition
Your skin is your body’s largest organ. Andrew believes it deserves the same care as everything else you give your body. Honest skincare belongs alongside good food, movement and rest as part of a healthy life. Andrew calls it outer nutrition.
Four years in the making
Andrew’s aim was simple: create skincare made only from natural ingredients, with nothing hidden. He spent four years researching ingredients, sourcing and natural formulation chemistry before a single product was ready.
What we do about it
No synthetics, no exceptions.
We make body care entirely from natural ingredients. That applies to everything we make, from body butter and foot balm to shaving cream. Each ingredient has a job, and we explain what that is.
In Nourish., our body butter, shea and cocoa butters make up 55% of the formula. Oils help it spread, beeswax gives it structure, and sandalwood provides the scent. Eight ingredients in all, with every percentage on the lid.
